Celebrating Christmas - Part 4 - Young

On Saturday we went to Nate's mom's for brunch and gift opening.  Before we opened the gifts, the kids had a scavenger hunt to find pieces to the Christmas story.  Here they are setting it up.

 Next, Reese and Shelby took turns reading the Christmas story from the Bible.

 Finally, they got to open their gifts.

 Nonny felt sorry for them because they don't have a real pet so she decided to buy a dog on puppet strings for them.  The crazy thing looks just like Lassie!

Before heading home, we visited Nonny Mary's church for their Christmas Eve Cantata.  Nonny was the narrator.  It was a nice program and we ran into some old friends from Greenville College.  It was around 7:30 when we left.  My concern was the girls would sleep the whole way home and then not want to go to bed.  Thankfully, Shelby's new movie kept them awake.  Morgan slept just for the last 10 minutes.  But it was another late night.....
