Planning Ahead....Way Ahead!

One night when Morgan was home with Nate, she asked him this:
Is it possible and OK to marry your neighbor?
Nate replied:
Sure, there is nothing wrong with that if it is the right person.
To this she replied very matter-of-factly:
Good cause I'm gonna marry Henry.

She has made it no secret of her plans to marry our next door neighbor boy Henry.  A few weeks ago in our Bible Study lesson, we were studying Abraham's son Isaac and the importance of him marrying a Christian woman.  A few days after class when we were working on the next week's lesson, I asked her if she remembered what was the most important thing about her future husband.  She responded, "That he is a Christian".  She continued with, "I hope Henry is one."

After my original post, I noticed this in the toy room.  It has been in there for awhile.  I had to add it.  She wrote this one day when she was playing school, doing her homework after school.
It says:  Dear Samantha & Elizabeth, You are the best students in the world!  I was so impressed with the tens and ones you did yesterday and you guys didn't know what I was talking about first time.  Sincerely, MRS. BRUCKER
Her teacher name was Mrs. Brucker instead of Miss Metzger.  If you are reading this and have no idea what that has to do with this post, Henry's last name is Brucker.
Only time will tell.  Only time will tell.....

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!  The girls had fun classroom parties at school.  I have made cupcakes.  Daddy game them some heart jewelry this morning.  I've been a little tired of their acting like caged animals all the time so my gifts, if there are any, will be late.  I usually get them a heart related shirt to wear.  Found these at Old Navy.  Can't pass up a perfect one like this.
Morgan wore Curious George
her Valentine's were Curious George that she created
Shelby's valentines were dinosaurs.  She probably didn't even have to sign her name and her classmates would have known it was from her.
Morgan's party was first.  I've never seen more pink and red sugared up treats in one place in my life!  Teachers had to be wishing today was Friday.  Especially with the upcoming 4 day weekend.  Maybe by next Wednesday the sugar will have worn off.   Morgan's class painted heart picture frames.
Then they ate.  Good thing we had several helpers to pass out the goods.  Morgan had a tummy ache all day so she didn't eat too much of what she had.
They went to art class and came back to pass out their Valentine Cards.  I went off to Shelby's party.  In her words, "It was AWESOOOOOOOME!"  For a class party, I'd agree.  I think they all had a lot of fun.  This morning they made their "mail boxes".  Shelby has divided her love for dinosaurs with the Saber tooth tigers.  The slot for the valentines is the tiger's mouth.  Above it she wrote FEED ME!
The party started off with passing out their valentines.  It didn't take long for someone to see that Cy had given everyone fake mustaches.  The whole class had a blast with those.  In fact, Shelby is still wearing hers sitting next to me as I type this post, 3 hours after the party.
 Jack, Shelby & Cy
Jack does have a December birthday and is only 5 months older than Shelby even though he makes her look like a midget in this picture.  She has a love/hate relationship with him.  They were in the same kindergarten class and she really didn't care for him then.  She says at all.  She wants that in all Caps - didn't care for him AT ALL!  They are back together in 3rd grade and most days she likes him.  He has a tendency to hurt her feelings and then he lands on the enemy list for a few days before making his way back over to the friend list.  I told her at the party I liked Jack's shirt.  She said she had already told him "Thanks for the team support, Jack."

The sugar had already kicked in by the time they got home from school.  They wanted to take some funny pictures.
