Toothless Tilly

I'm loving the Wifi on the bus to Florida.  I already read the book I loaded on my Kindle.  I can work on deleting the 999 emails in my in box.  That number is not a joke.  We'd probably be there by now if we didn't spend at least 20 minutes sitting along the interstate pulled over by an obnoxious officer with a terrible southern accent asking about our fuel tags on the bus.  He battled it out with a call to the state of Illinois and we finally got on our way.  Anyhow,  I figured now would a good time to post a picture of my toothless Tilly.  Morgan pulled her second tooth in a week Sunday morning before church.  She was pretty excited until she tried to eat her cinnamon roll.  Then she said, "I miss my teeth."
After her first tooth last week, she decided the tooth fairy is your mom and dad and there is no Easter Bunny, Santa Clause or leprechauns either.  Nate's mom took them to the Junie B Jones production at the BCPA so they were not home when we left to meet the bus.  So I took her tooth and left a note that said, "Thanks for the tooth, Flossie" with a stack of 5 dimes on it.  Not sure what she thought of that when she got home.  Teeth or no teeth, still pretty cute don't ya think?

Finally Lost Something!

Morgan has had a loose tooth for a quite awhile.  It hurt and bothered her a lot, especially at night.  She asked her Aunt Jill a few weeks ago if she would pull it out for her.  She has a well known talent for this, not to mention she enjoys it.  I on the other hand don't even want to hear about it.  I've never been a fan.  I can hardly stand being next to someone while they brush their teeth.  Anyway, Aunt Jill took a look but unfortunately it was not ready yet.  She's been messing with it and was bummed when at least 2 people from her class lost teeth this week while at school.  Today while she was cheering she was motioning to me that it was hurting.  So after Shelby's basketball game I asked my friend Amber if she was any good at pulling out teeth.  Luckily for me, not only is she a good nurse, she has a few dentistry skills too.  They sat down in the cafeteria during awards and the pizza party and in no time it was out!
So as I type this the tooth is under the pillow.  Little smarty has said a few times that the tooth fairy is your parents.  I've considered playing a little no show game with her to teach her a lesson!  Since Nate is out of town, Shelby decided to sleep with me.  This caused a dilemma for Morgan.  She was torn because she wanted to sleep with us too but was afraid the non existing tooth fairy wouldn't come if she wasn't in her bed.   She didn't like the idea of waiting until tomorrow.  She has already waited so long!  Then she was concerned because she switched pillows and she thought the fairy could be confused.  I finally told her the tooth fairy was only interested in teeth, not where the kids are sleeping or the pillows.  She would find the tooth!  Now my dilemma is that at 9:30 they want me to go to bed with them.  Considering I have been up since 3:30 I don't have a problem with that.  But if they are not asleep when I go up there, I'll have to take a chance on playing the fairy if I wake up or early in the morning.  Only problem is, I have a Junie B Jones book in my closet for her.  Worked out when the silly fairy gave it to Shelby on the eve of her first tooth and she already owned the book.  I have to get that book without waking them up.  No one ever said it was easy being a fairy!
