Celebrating Christmas - Part 2 - Metzger Immediate

We headed south on Thursday afternoon for Greenville and celebrating with the Metzger/Young side of the family.  Thursday night the kids played while Aunt Jill was able to celebrate a Missouri win over Illinois in the annual Bragging Rights basketball game.  I enjoyed cheering against IL (just because it's fun) and watching Nate and Al watch their team come up short.  Sometime after midnight, the kids finally went to bed and then unfortunately woke at a ridiculous early time on Friday morning.  First on the list of things to do:  OPEN GIFTS!!!  The girls received from Papa & Nonny mini dishes for tea parties.  Morgan's are a light pink and Shelby's are green.  They got some stuff for their American Girl dolls and a gift certificate to the store from Uncle Al, Aunt Jill & Drew, Reese & Trey.  Here are some pics of the loot.

Reese wrote Shelby a nice little note and gave her a Scooby Doo key chain in a metal bone box.

We ate a late breakfast.  The kids played some more and when they got restless, they frosted cut out cookies Nonny had made.

Soon we headed out for our next party.
